Important Patient Notice

Dear Patient,

Please note that the Health Centre will be used for Covid vaccinations from Thursday 28th January until Tuesday 2nd February.

During this time please do not attend the health centre unless you have a confirmed, booked appointment as you will be turned away.

Repeat prescription can be left in the post box downstairs or can be submitted via the online system.

Telephone appointments will continue as normal. If you need to book an appointment this can still be by calling reception or via the online system.

If you require access to the online system access can be granted for you by calling the reception desks.

We will resume our normal Service at 8am on Wednesday 3rd February.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation at this time.

The Coronavirus vaccination – getting your jab

Dear patients

We are currently receiving a high volume of e-mail enquiries regarding the Covid-19 vaccination process.

We appreciate that this is a stressful and worrying time and that you would like to access the vaccine as soon as possible or be given a timeframe for when this may happen.

We are recalling patients as per government and NHS England guidelines and dependent upon supply of vaccines. We are doing this as quickly as possible and we ask that you please bear with us during this critical time. We are directing all our resources into coordinating this unprecedented vaccination programme and are working in collaboration with our colleagues across the NHS to ensure that all of our patients will be offered this vaccine.

We are under extreme pressure at the moment and we would therefore kindly ask that you only contact the surgery regarding the vaccination if it is a matter of urgency.

All NHS practices across England have been instructed by the government that patients will receive the second dose of their vaccination within 12 weeks of the first being given instead of 3 weeks.

This is not a practice decision and we are not in a position to change the format of how the vaccination is being offered.

Important message re access to services

The NHS is very busy responding to the coronavirus pandemic and, at certain times, your GP practice may need to prioritise patients with the most urgent health needs.  

If you have a health issue that isn’t urgent, advice is available on the NHS website www.nhs.uk or NHS app or you can speak to your local pharmacist. You can also use e-consult which is available through our practice website www.west4gps.co.uk  If you aren’t sure what to do, please contact the practice on 0208 630 3518 who can advise you on how to get the help you need.

 Please continue to attend tests, vaccinations and screening when invited.  

 www.111.nhs.uk is also available 24/7 for urgent health advice or by calling 111, and 999 is for emergencies.

URGENT – Your help is needed!

Dear Patients
As you will be aware, the COVID-19 rates of infection have increased to significant levels in our area.
At the same time we need to maximise our work of vaccinating patients with the COVID-19 vaccine.
We have been advised to free up time with our team to help look after patients with emergencies and protect patients with the vaccine.
If your problem is an emergency then please call 999
If you need to contact the practice with other symptoms or queries please use the eConsult module found on the front page of the website.
Your online form will be reviewed by a clinician and you will be contacted back with a text.
You will either be contacted by the surgery to ask you more questions or you will receive a text on what to do next.
